UCU and School Ukrainian Language & culture assume no responsibility for any death, injury, accident, illness, loss of personal property, loss of employment, or other contingencies that may befall participants during, or as a result of, participation in the Summer Program.
COST: See separate list for fees, including room and board, tuition, registration fees, fieldtrips and excursions.
ITEMS NOT INCLUDED: course reading materials; passports; immunization fees; medical, cancellation and other insurance coverage; food or beverages not included in the itinerary; other items of a personal nature, such as excess baggage, laundry, phone calls, gratuities for special services; etc.
REFUND POLICY: UCU assumes no responsibility for financial risks or losses associated with participation in its summer programs. No refund will be made for accommodations or services included in the price which are not utilized during the session by the applicant.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Participants must have a valid passport. Applicants will be provided with information concerning passports and/or visas, and immunizations, but obtaining them is the responsibility of the applicant.
HEALTH: We advise each applicant to have a physical checkup before registering for the Session. UCU cannot be responsible for illnesses that may occur while traveling.
INSURANCE: UCU is not an insuring agent and is not responsible for any injury to your person. International medical insurance is suggested for all participants to have. UCU is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to your belongings, or penalties associated with cancellation.
SPECIAL LEARNING NEEDS: UCU is committed to providing a learning atmosphere which reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified. Applicants with disabilities considering participation in this summer program are invited to discuss both summer session requirements and available facilities with the Session Director prior to registration.
STANDARDS: High standards of honor, integrity and morality, as well as graciousness in personal behavior with Ukrainian hosts, are expected.
The School of Ukrainian Language and Culture reserves the right to exclude students from the Program in case of improper behavior.
