Courses
School of Ukrainian Language and Culture UCU offers non-intensive courses in Ukrainian for foreign students consisting of 90, 60 or 30 academic hours. Our programs start in October (I semester) and February (II semester). We offer our students some flexibility in their studies. They have an option to join the course after its official commencement or to complete the program before its official closing.
I Semester (2011-2012)
Start and placement test: 3 October 2011
Final test: 3 February 2012
II Semester (2011-2012)
Start and placement test: 13 February 2012
Final test: 1 June 2012
I Semester (2012-2013)
Start and placement test: 17 September 2012
Final test: 14 December 2012
Course description: Students can choose 90, 60 or 30 academic hours of Ukrainian. Those choosing the 30-hour option may continue and enroll for the second 30 hours (1 academic hour = 45 minutes). The scope of the course is focused on general command of Ukrainian, development of all linguistic competences (speaking, reading, listening and writing), and advancement of grammatical and vocabulary competence.
Classes: 90 minutes/twice a week
We offer:
> Qualified teachers native speakers have years of extensive training in teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language.

> Opportunity to obtain 4 ECTS credit points for participation in the entire course on passing the final test
> Diploma and certificate of completion of a course at the Ukrainian Catholic University
Location: Khutorivka 35-A, Street
Course price: USD 600 (90-hour course), USD 400 (60-hour course), USD 240 (30-hour course)
IMPORTANT: Classes start if 3 and more students have registered for the semester course.
On the first day of the program participants are tested to be placed in the appropriate level. Level changes and group transfers are possible within two to three days after the placement test. Later transfers are possible after a consultation with the Academic Director of the Courses.
All language classes are taught in Ukrainian! Maximum number of participants in a language class: 6 students.
