Students Review and Interviews

Студенти розповідають про школу - Students about Summer School/by Julian Hayda 2010/

"In 2007, I made my second trip to Ukraine with the intention of learning more about my heritage and exploring more of the world. I spent a week in Kiev with my family where I learned a great deal about Ukrainian History, Culture, but I didn’t learn much about the language. I heard about YKY through some friends who highly recommended it as it was both fun and educational. Needless to say, I had the best time of my life during my few short weeks at YKY in 2007. I learned to speak some of the language and learned even more about Ukraine which was fascinating.

Since this is my last year in which I will have free time in my summer, I want to take the opportunity to learn more Ukrainian language which will help me with my future career. My little sister has also shown interest, so I would have the opportunity to help show her the many treasures Ukraine has to offer. What it really boils down to is that I have fallen in love with Ukraine and I want to see more, learn more, and explore more and YKY is certainly a great way to do it."

Basil Fedun, USA, 2009
